چکیده
From 1910 to 2002, the Mines Domaniales de Potasse d’Alsace (MDPA) exploited two potash layers, located at depths greater than 400 m in southern Upper Rhine Graben. This mining activity has caused surface subsidence, investigated here using SAR interferometry (InSAR) and Persistent Scatterer Interferometry (PSI) approach is used follow induced displacements over Alsatian potassic basin. The images acquired by three distinct satellites (ERS, ENVISAT, Sentinel-1) last 24 years cover both post-mining periods. Until 1996/1997, InSAR results do not fit high vertical displacement deduced from levelling campaigns due unwrapping errors are therefore reliable quantify subsidence. measurements become consistent, allowing us study subsidence following of mine. decreases quickly after end operations, with current estimated below 5 mm/yr 2018. obtained for period show a correlation between residual amplitude mined thickness. Taking together whole period, combined time series approximated sum exponential terms, which reveals role goaf compaction depth. shows that well suited monitoring small mining-induced phase, helping better mitigate related risk these regions.

Mining Subsidence Monitoring Using the Combined Insar and Gps Approach
Compared to opencut mining, underground coal mining is more common in Australia due to its lesser impact on the environment. Although there are several underground mining methods, such as the longwall, pillar, bord, and miniwall, longwall mining is the most commonly used method due to its high efficiency. However, longwall mining does lead to significant ground subsidence. Mining subsidence is ...
متن کاملThree years of mining subsidence monitored by SAR interferometry, near Gardanne, France
Differential interferogram images derived from repeat-pass spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) systems give the possibility to map surface deformations of small spatial extent and to monitor their spatiotemporal evolution. A slow and local phenomenon of subsidence caused by underground coal mining has been observed near Gardanne, France, from images acquired by both European ERS-1/2 satel...

Two cross sectional surveys, 24 years apart, using the same respiratory questionnaire, were carried out to examine changes in prevalence rates of cough, phlegm, and wheeze and to relate changes in wheeze to objective peak expiratory flow rates (PEFRs). The surveys were done in towns in southern and northern England and South Wales in schoolchildren aged 6.0-7.5 years; n = 1655 in 1966 and n = 2...
متن کاملAnatomy of Subsidence in Tianjin from Time Series InSAR
Groundwater is a major source of fresh water in Tianjin Municipality, China. The average rate of groundwater extraction in this area for the last 20 years fluctuates between 0.6 and 0.8 billion cubic meters per year. As a result, significant subsidence has been observed in Tianjin. In this study, C-band Envisat (Environmental Satellite) ASAR (Advanced Synthetic Aperture Radar) images and L-band...
